TWO ANGELS RESCUE LOT FROM SODOM

1And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;  2And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night. 3And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat. GENESIS 19:1-3

If we remember the story, Lot was able to leave the corrupted city [state of consciousness] of Sodom but his wife looked back and was turned into a pillar of salt [calcified state of consciousness]. So, both Lot and his wife were in Sodom or in a low and corrupted state of consciousness. But we notice that Lot is very receptive to the Love and Wisdom of the Lord. He asks the Angels to come into his house [consciousness]. The Angels help him get out of Sodom or his corrupted state of consciousness. He tries to lift his wife along with him to this new state of consciousness but she looks back. She is tempted to return to the old state of consciousness and she misses the opportunity to rise out of darkness. But we do the same thing all the time. We get attached to our habitual sate of consciousness however corrupted it may be. So, when, through the grace of God, we are helped and lifted out of darkness, we should never look back.
