The Bible or Word of God was written by means of spiritual correspondences. Therefore, the Bible is in the spiritual form of Heaven. Its literal meaning corresponds to the Natural Heaven, its spiritual sense to the Spiritual Heaven and its Celestial sense to the Celestial Heaven. The Word was given to angels and human beings by the Lord in order that by its means they would be conjoined with Him. When we read a certain portion of the Bible and understand its higher meaning we are connected to the corresponding level of Heaven, to angels and to God.
